Look at those reflections... just HOW much did you render in this picture and didn't actually directly show?
I wasn't going to add "balls" to that list. I wanted to avoid a set up for a joke.
Hey if I ever get the time to do anything with them, would you be interested in creating or just sharing some of your existing orbs with me for me to use as a base (or bases) for some icons and perhaps some walls?
I'm not sure what colors, reflections, etc I'd prefer, but, something around 600-800 px, transparent PNG's, and no drop shadows?
I'm not sure what you're system is like, so if rendering large sizes is too taxing, I could work with smaller sized ones. 512px minimum though.
I have what appears to be a cold coming on, so I can only focus long enough to browse some monkey porn, but I definitely want to hook up and do something. Perhaps even a collaboration.
I've done that with Firefox add-ons, web sites, and other things, but not art. It would be interesting.
Perhaps you create a base, I'll add some sort of something or other, then you can do some post work (further reflections, etc?).
Have you ever thought about creating icons? Even releasing some of your works as stock might be cool (png is always good imo).
The only 3D programs I ever used were DAZ, Blender, and, um, oh, Bryce, but I sucked and was too lazy to learn, so I have a great respect for 3D artists.
Haven't tried doing icons....I will have to give that a try...
